Finding the right approach and balance for internal communications in our “new normal” environment can be a challenge. But it is also an opportunity to demonstrate that internal communication is (or can be) the central nervous system of the company, keeping onsite and remote staff informed and engaged. It’s also a means to receive important feedback from islolated team members.
We recommend that companies increase the frequency of their communications, keep them shorter to ensure higher readership and encourage responses in public forums to maintain a sense of community. Employees may enjoy working from home, but it has created new stresses that a robust internal communication platform can address.
